    Good Systems is a campus-wide, interdisciplinary research grand challenge at The University of Texas at Austin focused on designing ethical AI technologies that benefit society. This research effort brings together humanists, social scientists, and technologists to define, evaluate, and build AI systems driven by broadly accepted values such as transparency, agency, trust, equity, and justice. Together with partners in academia, government, industry, and nonprofit sectors, Good Systems works to address pressing societal issues through six core research projects in the areas of AI and the future of racial justice, privacy and surveillance, smart cities, disinformation, smart hand tools and the future of work, and living and working with robots.
